a community pottery studio

of the earth is a community pottery studio located in the SODO/Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA

of the earth first opened our humble doors in september 2021 with 2 wheels + a big vision. after absorbing the space next door in september of 2022, the studio now hosts 12 wheels, a 30” slab roller, wall mounted extruder, and 2 electric kilns.

of the earth is committed to maintaining a comfortable, grounding, and encouraging studio environment with no room for competition or territoriality. the studio’s ideal is for the space to serve as both a shared work space and a creative community where resources are shared amongst members. we firmly believe in the importance of having a space to show up as exactly who you want to be.

whether you’re a beginner looking to take your first ceramics class or an experienced potter looking to continue your practice, of the earth looks forward to welcoming you into the space.

what do we offer?

of the earth is a shared community space offering one time clay classes, 8 week clay classes, limited pottery studio membership spots, a rotating array of multidisciplinary workshops, and private event space available for rental.
