membership
of the earth offers limited membership spots. membership is intended only for potters capable of operating fully autonomously in the space. no clay first timers! members must have previous experience working with clay and attending a membership orientation is mandatory before receiving your 24/7 studio access code. membership is sold as a two month package to start, and billed either monthly or bi-monthly to follow.
members receive:
- 24/7 studio access*
- a shelf for storage
- use of wheels, slab rollers and studio glazes
- access to regular drop-in sessions with rotating teachers
- firing of up to 50lbs worth of work per month
members do NOT receive:
- use of studio reclaim buckets
- use of studio bats or tools
- access to teachers as resources outside of member drop-in sessions
*the studio will be closed periodically for cleaning and private workshops, never for more than a few hours. members will not be granted studio access during these times.
you are required to complete an orientation session before receiving your access code. you will receive an email to schedule your orientation after you check out.
of the earth is a community studio - there is zero room for competition or territoriality here. of the earth is not a production studio. we do and will not offer paid or outside firing services. of the earth bisque fires to 05 and glaze fires to 6. all outside materials must be approved by the studio before being run through the kiln.
