welcome to the studio! we offer one time classes great for anyone looking to try out wheel throwing or hand building without too much commitment, and 6 or 8 week wheel sessions great for anyone looking to pick up a new hobby, learn a new craft, or get back into a studio rhythm.

6 week classes $425 | 8 week classes $555

classes include all clay + materials. session classes can be paid in 2 parts.

THE SESSION

weeks 1 + 2 cover the fundamentals: wedging, centering, pulling walls. beginners will learn the basics, and returning throwers will get warmed up and maybe pick a project focus.

week 3 covers trimming! learn to clean your pots up with trimming tools on the wheel. you’ll learn about handles, too!

week 4 is whenthings get interesting! students will continue to develop their skills on the wheel and begin focusing on projects if they’d like. maybe you’ll learn how to throw a plate or a closed form!

weeks 5 + 6 are yours to spend however you’d like! throwing, trimming or working on surface designs. your teacher may demo something like sgrafitto or underglaze transfers, and you’ll have lots of class time to add finishing touches to your leather hard work.

weeks 7 + 8 are spent glazing your work. you can continute to throw if you’re enrolled in the next session, otherwise you’ll finish up your projects and put them on the shelves for their final firing!
