“ Sculpting Realistic Animal Portraits Suitable for Hanging” with Debra Bacianga

this class covers various handbuilding techniques with the project focus of completing an animal portrait with structural integrity to both survive the kiln and a hardware set up for wall hanging, if desired.

please note - this class is open to all levels, but does have a higher level of focus than our other offerings. students will be required to bring photos or drawings of the animal head and face they would like to sculpt. aesthetics and some art history will also be discussed. while note required, students may be encouraged to find time to work on their pieces outside of class time and are welcome to take their projects home with them as well.

classes are small - 6 students with one instructor. perfect for friends, lovers, or strangers ~

class prices include all materials and firing fees and are paid upfront. you may pay a 50% deposit to secure your seat in the class by using code DEPOSIT. payment in full is due 7 days prior to your first class.

come prepared with clothes you don’t mind getting covered in clay.

PLEASE NOTE - while you can likely look forward to bringing some pieces home with you, pottery is a skill that takes many hours to develop. there is no guarantee that you will complete work in your first session.
